 Announcing the 2026 Ninth Circuit Civics Contest & Theme
The 2026 Ninth Circuit Civics Contest, an annual essay and video competition, is now accepting entries from high school students who reside within the geographic region of the Ninth Circuit. The contest theme is “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness—Your Voice. Your Story. Your America.” The theme celebrates the 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

 The Twenty-First Annual Judith N. Keep Federal Civil Practice Seminar

The twenty-first annual Judith N. Keep Federal Civil Practice Seminar will be presented on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 1 to 5 p.m. with a reception to follow. Registration for the event begins at 12 p.m. and programming begins at 1 p.m.  The San Diego Federal Bar Association and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California are pleased to host this in-person seminar at the Westin Gaslamp Quarter, which will include a hosted reception with food and drinks.
