1) Def.: The legal process of resolving a dispute in a court proceeding.
       • Adjudication was delayed because of the late submission of essential documents by the defense.
2) Def.: The judgment or decree given.
       • The trial court’s adjudication was overturned by the court of appeals.
3) Def.: A court process that determines if juveniles committed the crimes with which they are charged.  In juvenile courts an adjudication is analogous to a conviction.
       • The defendant had no juvenile adjudications or criminal convictions when he appeared before the judge for his sentence.
