Under and by virtue of the authority of, and pursuant to, Section 3152(b), Title 18, United States Code, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that LORI A. GAROFALO be, and she hereby is, appointed Chief U. S. Pretrial Services Officer for the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, and her official station is designated as San Diego, California; said LORI A. GAROFALO to hold said office at the pleasure of the judges of the United States District Court for the Southern District of California and until further order of the Judges of said court.

Said LORI A. GAROFALO shall qualify pursuant to applicable law and commence performance of the duties of Chief U. S. Pretrial Services Officer in her name on August 1, 1997.
