Motions are heard on Mondays. If Monday is a federal holiday, the succeeding Tuesday will be that week’s motion day. Call the law clerk of the judge assigned to the case before filing a noticed civil motion (CivLR 7.1(b)(2)), or the courtroom deputy for a noticed criminal motion, to obtain a hearing date.
